About me

I provide face-to-face counselling in Shipley town centre, as well as online and telephone counselling. Before setting up my private practice, I worked as a counsellor at Harrogate College and Leeds City College where I supported staff and students of all ages and social/cultural backgrounds.

I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and practice in accordance with their Code of Ethics (www.bacp.co.uk/ethical_framework). The BACP's register of counsellors and psychotherapists is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care.

In the past, I have facilitated creative design workshops with young people, asylum seekers and various other community groups, around sexual and mental health awareness, bullying, identity and self-esteem. I have also worked with Leeds City Council as a harm reduction worker, providing information, advice and support to young people and adults regarding recreational substance use.

Before my career as a counsellor I worked as a graphic designer in marketing/advertising agencies.

I hold an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Certificate, and full Professional Indemnity Insurance cover.
